Are your services covered by health insurance?


Many health insurance providers cover services offered by Registered Psychotherapists; please check with your health insurance provider. I am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (#009634). After our sessions, I will issue you a receipt which you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.




Is online therapy effective?


Yes! Online therapy affords you the possibility to be in the comfort of your own home or other private space of your choice. It is also beneficial for individuals with physical disabilities or those who live in remote areas. I use a user-friendly PHIPA compliant Telehealth platform for online video conferences. You will be able to access therapy sessions at your convenience and we will work together to alleviate your symptoms and help you achieve your treatment goals.




How does therapy work and what will our first session be like?


Once we have had an initial free consultation and you book your intake appointment, I will send you an informed consent document that we will review so that you understand how I will keep your personal health information private and confidential. In our intake session, we will discuss your current concerns, any symptoms you may be experiencing, your goals for therapy, and any questions you may have. This is an opportunity for me to understand you more fully as a person. I will share recommendations for therapy and collaborate with you to create a treatment plan that honours your goals and works towards a healthy and happy life.
