Therapeutic Approaches

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Looks at the link between thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and physical sensations to help people identify and modify unhelpful patterns. Helps introduce balanced thoughts and behaviours to create lasting, positive change.

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

Based on attachment theory, this approach views emotions and human bonding as the core to a healthy self and strong relationships with others. A gold standard intervention for couples, EFT is also effective for individual work to address anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

Focuses on mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation to allow for acceptance and positive change. Helps people improve their relationships with others as well as increases self awareness.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

Explores thoughts, feelings, and behaviours after a traumatic experience to develop new understanding and insights of the experience while decreasing negative effects. Helps people move past feeling 'stuck', and regain control in their present lives.
